ReTranslate ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our Shopify application.

1. Information We Collect

When you install and use ReTranslate, we collect:

• Shop information: Your Shopify store domain, access tokens provided through Shopify OAuth, and basic store details required to operate the app.
• Translation content: Product titles, descriptions, collection names, page content, and other translatable fields that you choose to scan.
• Usage data: Scan history, quality scores, applied fixes, and feature usage for the purpose of providing and improving the service.
• Session data: Shopify session tokens used to authenticate your requests within the app.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the ReTranslate service
• Analyze and score translation quality using AI
• Generate AI-powered translation suggestions
• Track scan history and provide audit trail features
• Process billing through Shopify’s subscription system
• Improve and develop new features

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely in our PostgreSQL database hosted on infrastructure within the European Union. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS/SSL) and follow security best practices for data at rest.

4. Third-Party Services

ReTranslate uses the following third-party services to provide its functionality:

• Shopify: For authentication, store data access, and billing. Governed by Shopify’s Privacy Policy.
• AI Language Models (via OpenRouter): Translation content is sent to AI models for quality analysis and suggestion generation. Content is processed in real-time and is not stored by the AI provider beyond the request lifecycle.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as you have the app installed on your Shopify store. Scan history retention depends on your plan (30 days for Pro, 365 days for Max). When you uninstall the app, we delete your shop data and session information within 30 days, in accordance with Shopify’s data protection requirements.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict processing of your data
• Data portability
